Community Center Paging System
A CASE STUDY
Wireless Paging System for
Hindu Community & Cultural Center

THE CHALLENGE
Shiva-Vishnu Temple, a Hindu Community & Cultural Center in Livermore, California, required a reliable and scalable community center paging system to improve security and strengthen public safety across its 150,000 SF multi-building campus. As a public-serving facility, the paging system needed to deliver instant audio/visual communication for both daily operations and emergency situations. The key requirements for the community center paging system included:
THE SOLUTION
Visiplex’s wireless paging system was deployed at the Shiva-Vishnu Temple with a centralized paging base station located at the main entrance security desk. The system included a network of indoor wireless audio-visual PA speakers and high-powered outdoor horn speakers, strategically installed throughout the 150,000-square-foot, multi-building facility to provide complete voice coverage and reliable emergency communication.
All components were equipped with built-in battery backup to maintain full operation during power outages, ensuring uninterrupted emergency notification capabilities.
In critical situations, the community center paging system supports live voice paging with real-time instructions or automatically broadcasts pre-recorded emergency messages tailored to specific scenarios such as intruder alerts, active shooter events, or lockdown procedures. For day-to-day use, it enables routine overhead announcements, staff coordination, and visitor communication.
To guarantee performance, the installation concluded with system testing, commissioning, and on-site staff training—ensuring reliable, seamless operation for both emergency response and daily facility management.
THE RESULTS
The newly installed community center paging system delivered the following benefits:
