COMMERCIAL WIRELESS INTERCOM SYSTEM
A CASE STUDY
A Two-Way Paging System for Nestle Quality Assurance Center

THE CHALLENGE
The Nestlé Quality Assurance Center (NQAC) required a robust warehouse paging system to deliver two-way intercom communications, voice paging, and emergency mass notifications throughout its 84,000-square-foot facility. The goal was to deploy a fully integrated commercial wireless intercom system that would enable two-way communication between the control center and specific laboratory areas, while also supporting daily public announcements and instant emergency notifications. To meet these requirements, the system needed to provide the following core capabilities:
THE SOLUTION
The Visiplex commercial wireless intercom system was successfully deployed using multiple two-way wireless intercom stations strategically placed throughout the facility to ensure clear and direct communication between key areas. To enhance voice coverage in common and public zones, the system also included indoor wireless PA speakers for live announcements and scheduled alerts.
For added visibility and to support ADA compliance, the solution was expanded with wireless LED message boards and multi-color beacon lights, delivering high-visibility visual alerts across the entire facility.
Thanks to its modular, wireless design, the system was fully installed by the facility’s in-house maintenance team—eliminating the need for complex wiring and significantly reducing installation costs. Final testing, commissioning, and on-site training were completed by Visiplex technicians to ensure smooth integration and dependable day-to-day operation.
THE RESULTS
Optimized Commercial Wireless Intercom System Performance – The wireless intercom system was successfully implemented across all facility’s zones, significantly improving site-wide safety, operational efficiency, and communication. The solution enhanced daily workflows and emergency readiness while delivering the following key capabilities:
The fully wireless design allowed Tesla to deploy the warehouse paging system with minimal disruption, using internal resources for installation and reducing overall implementation costs.
