THE CHALLENGE

To improve safety and streamline communication, the facility manager identified the need for a reliable, on-premise school PA paging system across the 70,000-square-foot, two-story facility in Sacramento, California.

The objective was to deploy a robust PA paging system capable of supporting daily school operations, such as general voice paging and scheduled break bell alerts—while also delivering clear, facility-wide emergency announcements to strengthen security protocols and protect students, staff, visitors, and leadership during critical events.

THE SOLUTION

Visiplex's wireless school PA paging system was deployed at The Al-Arqam Islamic School & Masjid Annur Islamic Center with a central paging base station installed in the main office. The solution featured a network of indoor wireless audio-visual PA speakers and high-powered outdoor horn speakers strategically positioned throughout the 70,000-square-foot, two-story facility to ensure complete voice coverage and dependable emergency communication.

During critical events, the school PA paging system provides live voice paging for real-time instructions or automatically broadcasts pre-recorded emergency messages tailored to scenarios such as intruder alerts, lockdowns, or active shooter incidents. For daily use, the system supports routine overhead announcements and scheduled break bell alerts, improving staff communication, student safety, and visitor coordination.
